As a young person, every day I can't help but be awed by the vast possibilities in this life.  I live on a beautiful farm in the foothills of the Cascades, and spent most of my childhood rambling about in the woods, barefoot and carefree.  Having been home schooled, I have a slightly different perspective in life.

One longstanding dream has been to write books, especially for young people.  I've also toyed with drawing, painting, singing, photography and gardening (flowers only).  Wealth and fame have never held much appeal for me, nor has the busy work-a-day world.

I'm a Christian, and constantly endeavoring to be a woman of integrity.  As you've all discovered, this is an uphill battle.  The path is difficult to define, and often very lonely.  You wonder sometimes if anyone believes in morality, and innocence seems extinct.  But when you least expect it, you discover people striving for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.
